“He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.”
“He catches the wise in their own craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end.”
Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.
“Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.”
“… for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.”
Remembering that our Creator-God identifies Himself as the Heavenly Father of all humans (whether or not each of us accepts that He is) we realize that as our Father He disciplines His children (adults, particularly). Heavenly Father loves every human in the world. However, He does not love the acts of wickedness and evil that we do. (Read the related article, ‘A World So Loved, HE Sent His Son!‘, as well, please. Thank-you.)
I recalled these Scriptures (listed above) when I heard a pastor talking about someone else’s statement about possible plots against a candidate for President of the USA. We are taught in Job 22:28 (“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” King James Version) to decree Scriptures over ourselves and for others, because of the power of spoken Scriptures.. I would decree these Scriptures as written, first. Then, I would decree these Scriptures by speaking them as “Jesus (the Christ) is thwarting & disappointing the plans (schemes) and devices (weapons) of the wicked against the well-being of _____________ (the name of one person), _____________ (the name of a group of people), and ________________ (the name of property, pets and/or a place).”
These Scriptures seem to be great to decree regarding known, and unknown-yet-suspected wicked/evil plans to trap, kidnap, terrorize, murder (shoot, bomb, behead, assault) or harm in any way a person, to vandalize something or a place. You can even pray to the Lord Jesus (the Christ) to thwart the plans of enemies, plans of wickedness and evil.
Lastly, I’d decree these Scriptures before they are needed and thank the Lord, in advance.
